The Philippines Consulate General in Osaka, Japan will be holding the Pistang Pilipino, a joint celebration of the 127th Commemoration of Philippine Independence and the Migrant Workers Day on June 21-22, 2025 at the Mina Sakai, in front of Sakai City Hall, Osaka,Japan. Secretary of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Atty. Hans Leo J. Cacdac and the Administrator of Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Atty. Patricia Yvonne “PY” Caunan are the special Guests of Honor in this 2-day event.
We encourage all employees to allow their Filipino workers to attend this important occasion and to hear the insightful message from DMW Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac and OWWA Administrator Patricia Yvonne “PY” Caunan during the opening ceremonies at 9:00am of June 21 and to join the festivities. The DMW Secretary is expecting to have an engaging dialogue with the workers to better understand their working conditions and welfare.
