Joint Consular and Labor Outreach Mission in Kurume City, Fukuoka

On 20 Septmber 2025, the Migrant Workers Office (MWO)-Osaka joined the Philippine Consulate General (PCG)-Osaka for a one-day Consular and Labor Outreach Mission in Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture. 

During the event, MWO-Osaka conducted one-on one consultations with overseas Filipino Workers. These consultations focused on the documentary requirements for the verification of employment contracts and issuance of the Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC),

In addition, thirteen (13) workers and twenty (20) Filipino community members were briefed on the benefits, programs, and services offered by the department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).  A total of thirty-three (33) clients were assisted during the mission.  Seventeen (17) workers renewed their OWWA membership.  

Furthermore, one worker who suffered from right fifth phalanx fracture was granted financial assistance amounting JPY131,926.00.  The said worker personally called MWO-Osaka to request for assistance, which was duly processed and released during the mission.
