Pre-Valentine’s Disco Party for OFWs Brings Communities Together in Osaka
The Philippine Community Coordinating Council (PCCC) through the partnership with the Migrant Workers Office (MWO)–Osaka and MWO-OWWA, Osaka successfully holds a vibrant Pre-Valentine’s Disco Party last 25 January 2026 at Tennoji Kumin Center, Osaka, Japan. The Disco Party was organized by the PCCC, an umbrella organization of Filipino community groups in Kansai, as a celebration of its accomplishments and programs over the past years in service for the Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and other Overseas Filipinos in Japan. The organization is also preparing to conduct the election of a new set of officers in March 2026.
The event gathered at least 430 attendees representing 9 Filipino communities/organizations along with members of the Japanese and Korean communities in the Kansai Region. It was indeed a multicultural celebration of friendship, love, solidarity, strengthening community bonds and promoting unity among different professions and nationalities.
The successful turnout and warm participation reflected the strong sense of camaraderie within the Filipino community in Kansai and highlighted the importance of collaborative initiatives that support the well-being, social connection, and morale of migrant workers in Japan.
Indeed, the event stands as a testament to the continued commitment of PCCC, MWO-Osaka, and MWO-OWWA, Osaka in fostering inclusive, meaningful, and uplifting activities for OFWs and the Filipino community as a whole.
