On 8 March 2026, over 150 Filipino women in the Kansai region gathered in Osaka to celebrate International Women’s Day with the theme “Give to Gain: Lead Like Babaylan.” Organized by Ladies First Kansai in collaboration with MWO-Osaka and OWWA, the event honored the strength, leadership, and resilience of Filipino women.
The program featured inspiring talks from Filipino and Japanese speakers on leadership, wellness, and women’s health, encouraging participants to embrace their identity and pursue growth. Interactive workshops on jewelry and perfume making were also conducted, allowing participants to develop new skills.
The celebration served as a meaningful reminder of women’s empowerment, unity, and the importance of leading with purpose and strength in today’s world.
