Osaka, Japan – As part of MWO Osaka’s engagement and participation in Filipino Community activities in its covered jurisdictions, Atty. Manuel M. Dimaano, Labor Attaché and Head of MWO Osaka, attended and graced the Minami Osaka Basketball League organized by Sennan Filipino Community held on 06 September 2026 at the Suehiro Gymnasium which united various overseas Filipino workers and overseas Filipinos in a basketball tournament.
In his welcome remarks, Labor Attaché Dimaano emphasized not only the importance of fostering physical and mental wellness but also strengthening their sense of community through a common connection of heritage, values, and aspirations. He also encouraged the participating teams from different prefectures to compete with honor, discipline, and respect than striving for victory. “Ang paligsahan po hindi lamang isang kumpetisyon bagkus ito din ay isang paraan ng pagbubuo ng pagkakaibigan, pagpapakita ng pagiging maginoo, at pagtatatag ng kapatiran sa bawat manlalarong Pilipino”, said Labor Attaché Dimaano.
Consul Christy Fe A. Conta, of Osaka PCG, and OIC Welfare Officer Jonel Q. Habon also attended and graced the event by their inspirational message.
The said activity also serves as a venue for engaging the Filipino Community and promoting the programs, services, and project initiatives of MWO Osaka that are available for overseas Filipino workers in its prefectural jurisdictions for their information and active participation.
The participation of MWO Osaka in the said event underscores its continuing commitment to promoting the welfare of Filipino workers through active engagement with the Filipino Community in its prefectural jurisdictions.
